Paper Pulse: the day-by-day upvote history of every Hugging Face Daily Paper 📈 The Daily Papers page shows today's upvotes. I wanted the history behind them, so I built Paper Pulse: 18,891 papers, with a snapshot for every day since March 2024. A few things the history shows: - The first day decides. In 82% of days, the paper that ended up #1 was already #1 when its first day ended. 89% of final top-3 papers were already top 3 by then. The median paper gets two-thirds of its votes on day one. - The bar keeps rising. The day's top paper had a median of 58 upvotes in 2024, 101 in 2025 and 148 in 2026. The page also went from about 14 papers a day to 33. - Votes get taken back. Hugging Face removed about 40K upvotes in four waves, 27K of them on Sep 18, 2026 alone. One paper fell from 641 to 85. The reason wasn't disclosed, so Paper Pulse keeps the raw daily values and marks those days.
